Free Saturday Garden Tours Return in May

Saturdays, May 6 - October 7, 10:30 am and 1:30 pm

Tours last approximately 45 minutes and begin at the Visitors Center. No reservations are required and tours are on a first-come, first-served basis for individuals who would like to learn about the season's highlights. No groups. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Block Printing Tea Towels with Artist Margaret Peot

Wednesday, May 10, 6 - 7:30 pm

In this workshop, you’ll learn the techniques of linocut printmaking. Taking inspiration from the Arboretum’s spring blooms, design and carve your own stamp, and leave with a gorgeous piece of functional art.

Spending time in nature is good for your mind, body, and spirit. Join Forest Bathing Guide Rich Collins on this slow meditative nature walk, immersing yourself in the Arboretum's surroundings while utilizing all of your senses.

Celebrate our current art exhibit Imaginature with a reading of works illustrated by Giselle Potter and Margaret Peot at the Summit Free Library on Saturday, and a meet and greet with the illustrators at the Arboretum on Monday. Registration is required.

Pitch your tent, grab your sleeping bag, and settle in for a special evening on the grounds of the Arboretum. There will be live entertainment, night hikes, and of course, s'mores! This event will be held rain or shine. **Registration is required and will begin Wednesday, May 31 at 9 am.** You must be a Family-level member or above. Members can only sign up immediate family members.

Discovery Weekends is Back! (families with children ages 3+)

Saturdays & Sundays, 9 am - 3 pm; Now through May 21

Drop by the Stackhouse Education Center for this self-guided program. Grab an interactive activity guide and magnifying glass, and head out to see what wonders big and small await on the grounds of the Arboretum. 

Education Center Browsing Library is Open!

Tuesday - Friday, 10 am - 2 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 3 pm

Join us after your hike to browse our books, color, or work on a puzzle. The library is open during the above-listed hours except during a program or private event.

Become a Garden Docent - Take Our Docent Tour! (adults)

Learn about our Garden Docent program by attending a free introductory garden tour. No experience is necessary and training will be provided. 


Summer Camp Jr. Counselors (ages 14+)

June 12 - August 25, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Ideal candidates are personable, energetic, reliable, and have an appreciation of nature and experience with children. Must be available for a minimum of 4 weeks during the summer camp weeks. (There is no camp the weeks of 6/26 and 7/3.)



Ground Force (ages 14+, 12-13 w/an adult)

Thursdays and Saturdays, 1:30 - 3:30 pm
