The Alliance exists to encourage human flourishing by promoting a more complete truth, informed by Judeo-Christian values and natural law, about the science of sexual orientation and biological sex through education, advocacy, clinical training, and therapy. | | COMPLETE TRUTH COMMUNITY PARTNER VOLUNTEERS
The Alliance is excited to develop grassroots community support for individuals with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA) and persons disliking their birth gender. In this project, the structure and materials to empower community volunteers, is a grassroots effort in relatively early developmental stages. The enthusiasm and appreciation expressed by participants in our pilot workshops is very encouraging. Dear reader, you may also have creative ideas to help make this a North America wide reality!
The ALLIANCE initiated the Ethics, Family & Faith Division to recruit and equip grassroots volunteers to vigorously promote the right of self-determination for individuals struggling with unwanted sexual attractions and/or uneasiness with their biological sex. Such volunteers will be an invaluable asset. We envision a network of community volunteer led groups consisting of writers, bloggers, friends, relatives, pastors, faith mentors, school staff, speakers, students, friends and - maybe even licensed healthcare providers - will join to form an exciting, powerful and novel resource in many communities. The ultimate goal is to enhance “…human flourishing by promoting a more complete truth” (ALLIANCE mission above.)
Empowering grassroots allies across America who will build selfless, loving & hospitable relationships with strugglers on these pathways is critical. Limiting free choice by suggesting that obsessive/compulsive patterns of stimulating erotic neural sensations will lead to satisfaction and fulfillment is unethical and destructive for individuals and communities. Volunteers who are confident they can walk alongside strugglers on the unwanted same sex attraction (SSA) and gender dysphoria pathways can provide winsome support modeled after the compassion and persistent hospitality of our Lord Jesus Christ. Note the following article about the workshop to be delivered in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 14,2025. An early September 2025 workshop in Rapid City, South Dakota, is in initial planning stages. Please contact us to explore initiating a community volunteer effort in your area with programs similar to these.

June 14, 2025 Twin Falls, Idaho
The Ethics, Faith, & Family Division seeks to “bridge the divide” in families and church communities by offering a ‘Complete Truth Community Partner Workshop’ on June 14, 2025. Members of the Twin Falls, Idaho, faith community, legislators, clergy, and helping professionals will gather to learn how they can reach out in grace and truth to loved ones who struggle with same-sex attraction (SSA) and gender confusion. A primary goal is to bridge the divide between the “born that way” myth and share the good news that change is possible, especially when the suffering individual has support from a loving church community and the benefit of change exploring talk therapy (SAFE-T).
For the suffering individual seeking to align their beliefs and behaviors with their deeply held Christian beliefs, small, incremental changes can lead to reduced internal strife and improvement in overall well-being. Even modest shifts may enable a person to maintain their heterosexual marriage or refrain from unwanted sexual behaviors. Pastor Daren Mehl, ex-gay husband and father, and operations manager of ATCSI, will be a keynote speaker at the event. Former Idaho Representative Julianne Young, a strong advocate for laws that protect client and therapist rights, will also be a keynote speaker. Past ATCSI President, Andy Visser, will provide a ‘Jacob’s Well Encounter’ break-out session identifying some basic dynamics of SSA. Friends, spiritual mentors and families will be challenged to practice Christ-like love, truth and continuing hospitality toward those claiming same-sex attraction identities and gender confusion. This is the second “bridge the divide” event in Idaho, organized by ATCSI Board member Peggy McFarland, who promises an uplifting event highlighted by joyful praise music.
Email us at contactus@therapeuticchoice.com if you would like to bridge the divide in your faith community.

| | UNITED KINGDOM'S SUPREME COURT DEFINES A WOMAN AS SOMEONE BORN BIOLOGICALLY FEMALE | | |
The UK Supreme Court has ruled unanimously on April 16, 2025 that a woman is someone born biologically female, excluding transgender people from the legal definition. The decision means that trans women can be excluded from some groups and single-sexed spaces such as changing rooms, homeless shelter, swimming areas and medical counseling services provided only to women. In addition, strip searches of people in custody can be carried out only by officers of the same biological sex. The plaintiffs in the case were a group called For Women Scotland, who challenged Scottish legislation which said that 50% of members on public boards should be women and included trans women in their definition.
Supporters of the decision hailed the judgment as “A victory for common sense” while opponents of the ruling called it “devastating.” One trans woman told the BBC that it was “really sad that the trans community of less than 1% of the population, was being thrown under the bus.” However, former Alliance President Christopher Rosik, Ph.D., observed that the issue was far deeper than just trans persons per se. “What is ultimately at stake here are dueling, incompatible understandings of what it means to be human,” Rosik stated. “Authentic personhood is either defined by subjective feelings or, as in the Judeo-Christian vision, what counts for authentic personhood is bounded by the objective reality of our physical bodies, created male and female. Which definition western cultures ultimately choose, has massive implications for the orderly functioning of society and the place of Christians within that society.”

| | THE ALLIANCE PREPARES FOR CLIENT RIGHTS CASE
AT THE SUPREME COURT | | |
"In October of 2025, the US Supreme Court will rule on the case of Wyatt Bury v. Kansas City. This case will decide whether US citizens will have a free speech right to undergo talk therapy for unwanted issues. This case will deal specifically with therapy for unwanted gender dysphoria caused by childhood trauma. The case may include issues of religious faith and credibility in psychological research.
LGBTQ+ activists and therapists are expected to contend that transgender identity is inborn, cannot be changed, and change therapy does not work and is abusive. Activists, therapists and researchers contending the opposite will argue that there is no credible empirical science that proves inborn causation for disliked birth gender (or unwanted same sex attractions.) Many cases of healing gender dysphoria and commensurate reduction of suicidality via psychotherapy are indicated in solid empirical research. Removing healthy body parts and chemically distorting physical realities as a solution for gender dysphoria, will eventually result in permanent harmful effects in patients. The Alliance will prepare evidence for this case over the next 6 months in terms of research, case histories, social media and activism for client rights. Please contact the Alliance if you would like to volunteer for these efforts."
