From the Director: God is All Sufficient

Emma and I had the opportunity to travel to Cincinnati for the Heartbeat International Conference in March. This trip was a special time of building relationships and deepening our faith. We heard some great speakers, heard encouraging stories, and were inspired by the faith of others in the pregnancy help movement. We had dinner with international attendees and spent special time in prayer with new and old friends.

I was reminded of an important truth: we serve a God who has no needs. This realization brings a profound sense of peace and assurance, knowing that when we come before Him in service, we do not need to worry about lacking anything. God is fully sufficient, and all of our needs have already been met through His provision. This understanding encourages us to step out in faith, trusting that He will supply everything necessary as we follow His call.

Client Story: Remember Me?

Last spring, a young woman came to ZoeCare experiencing a teen pregnancy. She was undecided what option she would choose but was leaning towards a decision to terminate the pregnancy and eager to learn more about her options. During the pregnancy options education, she asked lots of great questions and was engaged in the conversation. Next, her ultrasound showed an early and healthy pregnancy. You could see that she was really thinking through her options and leaning towards a decision to parent her baby. At the end of her appointment, she even said “I think I could pursue my dream and have my baby.” To which my response was, “Yes! You are totally capable of pursuing that dream and being a mother.”

This young woman decided to parent her baby and went on to have a healthy pregnancy and deliver her baby in November. Just a few weeks ago, she came back into ZoeCare, carrying an infant car seat. She looked right at me and asked, “Remember me?” Of course, I remembered her and immediately greeted her with a hug. She couldn’t wait to take her baby out of the car seat and show her off.

Not only had she come in to introduce me to her baby and share how much she was enjoying motherhood, but she had also brought a friend along who needed a pregnancy test. Over this last year, this client became a proud and radiant mother and she had also became an ambassador for ZoeCare, bringing in friends to receive our services.
