Mid-South Safety Action Plan
Ensuring safe, accessible, and efficient transportation in the Mid-South is central to the mission of the Memphis MPO, and it strives to support safety across all of its core programs, plans, and projects to create a regional transportation system designed to safely and comfortably accommodate all users. The Memphis MPO and West Memphis MPO have developed the Mid-South Safety Action Plan (SAP) to create a framework for reducing roadway deaths throughout the tri-state Greater Memphis region. The Draft Mid-South Safety Action Plan is available for review and comment through April 28, 2023, and can be found by visiting the MPO's Mid-South Safety Action Plan Webpage.
New MPO Staff Member
Andrea Blue joined the Memphis MPO as an Administrative Services Specialist on March 16th. She is a Memphis native with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. Andrea also earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University with a concentration in Human Resources. Andrea started her own Freight dispatching company to challenge herself and expand on the skills she acquired at a previous job. With 9 years of experience in human resources and 12 years of experience in administrative support, Andrea decided that she missed the administrative field and the ability to make a difference not only to herself but others around her.
