We were pleased to host clients, elected officials, legislative and municipal staff and industry representatives. It was a tremendous opportunity for attendees to form new relationships, reconnect with old friends and enjoy a beautiful Spring evening in the Coachella Valley. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the Cork Tree Restaurant for the great venue and service.

Los Alamitos Legislative Luncheon

In May, CP&A hosted another Legislative Luncheon for legislative staff members at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base. Partnering with the City of Los Alamitos, attendees learned about the base’s storied history and what the future holds for the iconic Orange County military installation.

Los Alamitos Mayor Jordan Nefulda and City Manager Chet Simmons, along with Base Commander, Lt. Col. Daniel Fox and Orange County Emergency Operations Division Operational Area Deputy Director Lee Kaser discussed the base's amenities and how it plays a critical role during regional emergencies. Following the dialogue, Lt. Col. Fox gave attendees a tour of the base, including the runway, which is the largest in Orange County.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us, to the City of Los Alamitos, and to the Joint Forces Training Base for partnering with us for this event.

Client Highlights

Curt Pringle and Associates was pleased to support our client, Villages of California, in hosting three community events in May commemorating Mental Health Awareness Month. In these efforts, CP&A coordinated with local organizations, promoted the events through various channels, and engaged elected officials. Villages is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting youth and young adults with mental health professionals to address mental health and behavioral challenges early on. We continue to support Villages with their public outreach and community engagement efforts to continue fulfilling their mission.

On March 28th, the CP&A team attended the 2024 OCCOG (Orange County Council of Governments) Annual Conference at the Richard Nixon Library & Museum. The event, “Consistent Collaboration Creates Community,” featured outstanding guest speakers who provided valuable insights on critical issues such as transportation, water, housing, and coastal infrastructure in Orange County. Thank you to OCCOG for organizing this informative and impactful conference!

Over the past couple of years, OCCOG has demonstrated exceptional leadership in regional planning and housing initiatives. Their Regional Early Action Planning (REAP) 1.0 efforts, funded through a grant from SCAG (Southern California Association of Governments), have been particularly impactful, producing numerous resources for member jurisdictions as they navigate the 6th housing cycle. CP&A has been honored to assist OCCOG’s efforts by developing the bi-monthly Housing for All newsletter, creating an outreach training webinar and providing one-on-one community outreach support. We encourage OCCOG member jurisdictions to continue utilizing all REAP 1.0 materials (developed by OCCOG and its team of terrific consultants) and look forward to supporting OCCOG's ongoing and future initiatives.
