MCCS Vision Conference

On April 6 MCCS hosted a public conference as part of its strategic planning process, called a Vision Conference. 74 community members, stakeholders, and organizational partners convened at the beautiful Colby College campus to collaborate on what volunteerism in Maine and MCCS's role in the sector can and should look like. It was a productive event, enhanced by the diversity of experiences and perspectives contributed by the attendees! A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and organized.

National Service Recognition Day at the State House

Members of Maine's House and Representatives and Senate have joined more than 5,200 local leaders across the country in a nationwide bipartisan initiative to highlight the impact of national service in tackling local problems.

Together, Maine's House of Representatives and Senate declared April 3, 2018 as National Service Recognition Day recognizing the efforts of our AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs that are serving hundreds of thousands of hours in service to Maine's communities.
