All you need is an interchangeable lens camera (ILC), a tripod and a remote switch. The workshop will get you out of the "auto" zone of your camera. Photographer David Frayer, along with model and photographer Kat Fodor, will guide you through your camera settings and allow you to create memorable images. The workshop is for all levels of photographers. What will be covered • Exposure • Composition • Use of Lenses • Subject Development • Creative Thinking • Lighting. Photographing the Milky Way isn't as tough as it seems. It just requires the right equipment and patience. Foto Dono will be hosting a field trip to photograph the Milky Way. Trying to shoot at on-location does have its challenges, mainly because of light pollution. The main goal for the field trip is to provide experience in creating a single shot exposure or multiple exposures for the stacking of the night sky. The next step is to render in post-production with Lightroom, Photoshop, or other editing software. The optimal time to photograph is from 4:00 AM to 5:30 AM. FEE $55 - April 19th at 3:30 AM - Location Blackburn Point Park, Osprey, FL
Join JPI down in Cape Coral to photograph the Burrowing Owls. Burrowing Owls are small, sandy colored owls with bright-yellow eyes. They live underground in burrows they've dug themselves or taken over from a prairie dog, ground squirrel, or tortoise. They live in grasslands, deserts, and other open habitats, where they hunt mainly insects and rodents. They live there all year round, usually nesting around March. Between April and June, the chicks are born. They soon learn to stick their heads out of their burrows. Hopefully, we will see a few of these on this trip. FEE FREE - April 26th at 4:30 PM - Cape Coral, FL
