Spring Announcement: April 3rd 2020
To our customers and friends,

It has taken us a while to settle on a message this Spring for obvious reasons. But Spring is here, and we want you to know what we're doing.

Aside from various measures to keep you and our staff safe and healthy, here's how we are preparing for opening:

The Plantsmen retail nursery will open with initially limited hours (see below), as well as some new contact-less purchasing options.

All of our nursery plants are for sale, including trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, etc.

We are focusing our current staff time and energy on our extensive range of chemical-free veggie starts. We grow all of our veggie starts from seed, in-house...we are more committed than ever to providing food plants for food security and food independence, as we have for the past decade.

You can find details and shopping options after the purple banner below.

As always, gift certificates are available year 'round... gift certs link here

ON THE LANDSCAPE SIDE, we are able to provide services that include general maintenance (broadly), construction projects with one person on site, and the installation of food gardens or food production plots. See our post highlighting one of our food garden projects here . All of our outdoor work can be performed with zero contact between crew and client, and I'll communicate with you to make sure all goes smoothly.

***For all other projects, contact Dan directly at dan@plantsmen.com
RETAIL NURSERY OPENING!
On Saturday, April 11th

NEW HOURS PLANNED FOR SPRING 2020:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday--10:00 - 4:00.
(these hours are quite different for us, so please take note)
SHOPPING AND PAYMENT OPTIONS:
NEW ONLINE STORE
We have begun loading some of our plant inventory onto our online store. This is an unexpected, new venture, and we will continue adding plants. We have A LOT MORE IN THE NURSERY than what you'll see online, but the ONLINE STORE is a good place to start if you don't want to browse in the nursery. Payment is via typical online payment format.

*If you don't see what you're looking for online, EMAIL us at info@plantsmen.com, and we will make sure you find what you want!

Our online inventory is by no means comprehensive...we were not planning on building an online store this spring!

PARKING LOT PICKUP
This is an option if you call or email an order, or order online, and pre-pay : no contact, your name will be on your plants, and you can pick up and go.

BROWSE FIRST, THEN ORDER FROM HOME
(ONLINE OR BY EMAIL/PHONE)
If you want to come to the nursery, browse plants at a safe distance, make a list, and then go home and place an order, you can do that via email or phone.
Email: info@plantsmen.com
Phone: 607.533.7193

Then we'll process your order, process payment online or by credit card over the phone, and you can pick up at your convenience (see PARKING LOT PICKUP, above).

BROWSE IN THE NURSERY, PULL PLANTS,
PAY AT THE NURSERY, AND GO
This is kind of how we've always done it, but we will have new safety measures in place, of course, all revolving around safe distances between people. You can PAY BY CHECK by dropping your check into a designated box near the counter; you can PAY BY CREDIT CARD using a Square device that we'll have at the nursery (you handle your own card); or you can PAY WITH CASH AND DONATE THE CHANGE to a charity that we will have set up.

EMAIL US WITH A WISH LIST OR AN ORDER REQUEST
Just get in touch with us if you want plants, and we will work it out!

*These options are intended to make it feasible for anyone to buy plants.
If you want to buy plants, but none of the above work for you, contact us directly.

We will be posting updates, real-time veggie plant availability and photos, and more on our WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK/INSTAGRAM PAGES, and through our eNEWSLETTER LIST.

Vegetable Gardens at Your Home
We can help you set up a vegetable garden at home. This can be directly in the ground, or using raised beds of local Larch lumber (with no chemical treatments--larch is naturally extremely rot-resistant). If interested, contact Dan directly at my email address: dan@plantsmen.com (note that plantsmen is plural...men).
Fence Options
Shown here are photos of our long term custom wood and wire fences. This combination allows light to enter, and allows you to see the beauty of the garden as it grows, but keeps critters out.

* We can also offer a quick, temporary, reusable wire fence on metal T posts for veggie gardens, which can later be replaced with one of our larch frame and wire fences. A quick initial fence allows you to begin growing food immediately, for less cost, even in areas with deer pressure.

´╗┐Later, we can always come back and install a more permanent fence...
Stay in touch with us for any questions about landscape work as well.
C ontact Dan directly at dan@plantsmen.com for any landscaping projects for this season.
Our goal is to do as much as we can to help everyone in this time--by employing people, sharing our plants, and providing some positive energy. STAY TUNED for more updates, and best wishes for peace and happiness.
