"I have worked in public service for nearly 20 years. I started in Cincinnati, OH at Hamilton County JFS as a Child Support Enforcement Technician. From there I moved into Program QA for the Child Support program. More recently, I was employed at CPH where I began as a Health Educator, then moved into program management and supervision. I love the work I do, whether on the front line or behind the scenes, because my heart is in helping others be the best they can be.
On a more personal note, I began singing with my family as early as four years old. My brother, cousins and I used to put on family talent shows. Oddly enough, my one cousin was always the lead singer-Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Barbara Streisand-and we were ALWAYS her background, despite the fact that she could not sing a lick (don’t worry, she knows it)! As I grew older, one of my uncle’s introduced me to classical music by giving me a Mario Lanza record, and I loved it. I began studying classical voice when I was 14, and studied throughout high school. I was accepted into several universities for music, but it was helping others that really intrigued me. Thus, here I am at FCPH instead of Carnegie Hall!
I love being with my family and close friends. I like meeting new people and traveling as well. I have had some major challenges in the last couple of years with the loss of close family members, health issues, etc. but my faith has allowed me to endure through the tough times. I am very happy to be a part of the FCPH family, and look forward to learning and growing with the agency."
