Employee Spotlight
Zach Watson

Zach first got into public service by working at the Union County Health Department, where he was in charge of the agency’s digital media presence. Before that, he did internal and external communications for places like Honda, Lane Bryant and multiple local organizations and clubs. Even though branding and marketing are his specialties now, Zach has always been a story teller because of his time in the journalism program at The Ohio State University.

Outside of work he is a huge fan of professional basketball, and he hopes to see live games in every NBA arena in the country at some point (he’s made it to six so far). He also coached youth basketball teams for four years and won multiple city championships during that time.

When not obsessing over basketball, Zach enjoys seeing friends, watching movies and getting outside and hanging around town with his wonderful fiancé Jackie and his miniature poodle greyhound mix Archibald (who is a very good boy).

Centennial Letterboxing Activity
Letterboxing is an intriguing “treasure hunt” style outdoor activity. Letterboxers hide small, weatherproof boxes in publicly-accessible places (like parks) and post clues to finding the box online on one of several Web sites.

In honor of 100 years of public health FCPH will be placing a letterbox in a park in Franklin County in an effort to promote our parks and being physically active.

Be on the lookout for location and instructions about FCPH's Centennial Letterbox!

See Mary Ann Janning with any questions or suggestions!
