Tannenbaum April Newsletter
This March we saw our first major influx of new merchandise coming to the store. Every box is a happy surprise! The sound of the delivery truck is almost as enjoyable as hearing a customer in the parking lot. This month we saw the return of our top lines: Christopher Radko, Old World, and Byer Choice Carolers. We also were busy rearranging trees and painting our Radko room (you can see the pictures on Facebook). We hope you will be able to join us this April, but if you are not able to stop by the store, check out our website and the new merchandise.

Time for a new addition to your kitchen
This month we have received a new line of mugs, tumblers, and key chains. These pieces are a little sassy and sure to make you smile. Each item features soft spring colors and are a perfect gift for someone special. There are also notepads to help you express your style the next time you need to write yourself a note!

We are also carrying a new line of cooking boas. These boas are designed to be worn while you are cooking, allowing you to always have a towel right at your finger tips. Adding to the fun of these boas these boas have fun sayings stitched on them (e.g. "Will cook for wine" or "King of the Grill"). These boas come in two sizes, one for adults and one for children.
Light-up vases
As spring comes to Wisconsin, we are excited to see the spring merchandise roll in. We have received our first shipment of spring lite-up vases. This year’s collection features beach scenes, flowers, and birds (including hummingbirds and cardinals). These vases can help remind you of the warmer weather and some of the true natural joys of spring. They come in a variety of sizes allowing you to find the perfect fit for your space. This also makes them a perfect gift for someone who likes to decorate but has limited space. These can be a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day too!
Old World
Old World Christmas ornaments are one of our most popular Christmas ornaments. With glass ornaments in all your favorite foods, hobbies, sports, animals, musical instruments, destinations, and so much more there is literally something for everyone. This is the time of year when we have the greatest selection of Old World ornaments. So, if there is something special you want to remember from this year (e.g. Yellowstone National Park, diploma etc), something that you collect and look for a new one every year (e.g. Snowman, turtles, dated ornaments), or if you just want to see all the unique and unusual ornaments (e.g. toilet plunger, Moscow mule mug, toolbox, etc) this is the time to check out our selection.
New Radko Ornaments
We have received our first shipment of Christopher Radko ornaments for the year! With over 50 new styles, we have a little bit of everything. Some of our favorites this year are A True Christmas Classic and Winter Watchman. A True Christmas Classic features a red family car carrying their Christmas tree on the roof. Winter Watchman is a snowman carrying to lanterns lighting the way for everyone.

We also have a variety of new dated ornaments including: 2018 Making the Rounds, 2018 Was a Ball, No Lookin Back Little Gem.

We also have new Beatles ornaments including two new drums (one featuring the images of the Beatles and one with Sgt. Peppers Club Band logo), a yellow submarine, a double decker bus with Beatles image on the side, and a guitar.
Wooden Signs
Over the last couple of years, we have seen an explosion in the number of signs available (e.g. they seem to be everywhere). There are wooden signs, metal signs, black and white signs, etc. And while there are a plethora of signs to choose from, two of our favorite companies Sweet Bird and Second Nature, continue to provide the best quality of reclaimed wooden signs. They both focus on reclaiming, repurposing, and reinventing amazing products for your home or office. These signs come in a variety of sizes starting at 3x6 and as large as 28x28. There are signs that are for the everyday ("You make me smile"), for new babies ("You make me smile"), for the holidays (e.g. The night before Christmas).
Byer's Choice
We have just gotten our first shipment of holiday shipment of Byers' Choice Carolers, While we will be highlighting different carolers in the upcoming months, this month we wanted to feature one of our favorite collections from last year, our Door County Santa, boy, and girl. The Door County Santa has been out at the beach. He has filled his "Door County" bucket with shells and is carrying a sailboat. The boy is wearing his favorite "Door County" sweatshirt and carrying a buoy. The Door County Girl is also dressed in white and is ready to catch some fish (or a star fish) with her net. They are a great addition to a vacation home or a wonderful reminder of your time here in Door County.
Sale...... David Frykman Santa
Our 2012 Ho Ho Matey Santa is 30% off! We have a few too many and decided to mark them down to help make room for the 2018 Frykman Santa (we will be talking about the new Santa in next month's newsletter). Ho Ho Matey, features Santa and his polar bear friend getting ready to do a little sailing in Door County. The front of the sailboat says Door County and the bottom of the boat is signed by David Frykman.

Other Sale Items... all of our Retired Dept 56 houses are on sale. We also have some older Christopher Radko ornaments on sale too!
Tannenbaum's Reading Corner
This month's featured book is " The Hat" by Jan Brett. The Hat is the story of Hedgie the hedgehog who finds a sock, but he thinks it is a hat. He goes around the forest showing off his new hat to all his friends. Hedgie's friends agree that having a hat is a good idea and try to find their own "hats" to keep warm in winter.

To accompany this classic book, we also have a floor puzzle. This 24-piece puzzle is great for young children. The pieces are larger and reinforced making the easier for young children to hold and less likely to break.
Gift Certificate
This month's winner of a $50 gift certificate is ..... Mary Ann Kelly. Congratulations!
This month we will continue to be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We are open Thursday thru Monday 10am to 5pm. Spring is coming to Door County, the grass is getting greener (well it will be as soon as the snow melts), the leaves will soon be coming sprouting on the trees, and maybe it is time for you to make your return to Door County too?

We'll be waiting for you!
