Lunch & Learn with Morris County Prosecutor Carroll and Sheriff Gannon

Fri., 4/4 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

We’re delighted to welcome Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon and Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll to speak. Topic: The History of Law Enforcement as it relates to Morris County, the Structure, Functions and Current Crime Trends. A light lunch will be provided after the presentation Seating is limited, therefore registration is required.

An Evening of Jazz with the Yvonnick Prene Duo

Tue., 4/8 | 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Yvonnick Prene, harmonica, and Toru Dodo, piano, will perform jazz compositions, including selections from their recording, "Jobim's World."  In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month. No registration required, however seating is limited.

Special Film Screening: "American River"

Thu., 4/17 | 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

A documentary about the history of the Passaic River. Remarks and Q&A with filmmaker Scott Morris. In celebration of Earth Day. No registration required, however seating is limited.

Preschool Storytime & Music

All Tuesdays in April | 10:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Stories, fingerplays and music with Mr. Laurence. For ages 2-5. Our April 1st storytime includes a special appearance by children’s author Kellei Cosby, who will read her new picture book, Celeste's Stardust Adventure! No registration required, however seating is limited.

LEGO Club

Sat., 4/5 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Create and build using LEGO! Your creations will be displayed in the children's room. Parents and/or caregivers must remain with their children during the program. For ages 4-12. Registration (required) at 973-285-6980 or kidsstaff@co.morris.nj.us.

Kids' Intro to the Harmonica

Tue., 4/8 | 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Yvonnick Prene, professional harmonicist, will teach you the basics of playing the harmonica. No prior musical experience is required - just come ready to have a blast! Harmonicas provided by Yvonnick -- and you get to keep it! For ages 7-18. Parents/guardians must remain with children age 7-12 during the program. Registration required.

Calligraphy Fun with Author Hui Li

Learn about Chinese calligraphy art and listen to Hui Li read her book, Scroll. Afterwards, Hui will demonstrate how to create your own piece of calligraphy art to bring home! For grades K-5. Registration (required) begins 3/25 at 973-285-6980 or kidsstaff@co.morris.nj.us. 

Mother Nature Show

Tie Dye Fun

Express yourselves through tie dying! Please bring your own white items; the library will provide remaining tie dye supplies. Dress for possible mess -- we’ll use permanent dyes that may stain clothes and skin. For ages 13-18. No registration. While supplies last.
