Help Create a Safer Community

Do your part to keep Montgomery safe and healthy by properly disposing of unused or expired medications during Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25. Drug Take Back Day is a convenient and anonymous way to prevent medication misuse, reduce accidental poisonings, and protect our environment. Bring your unused prescriptions, over-the-counter, and pet medications to the police department lobby for safe disposal. No questions asked.

In just the first quarter of 2026, the township has collected approximately 131 pounds of medication! Please note that sharps, syringes, and liquids are not accepted. Sharps can be disposed of at your nearest hospital. For more information, contact the health department at 908-359-8211 or health@montgomerynj.gov.

Be a Rec N Crew Counselor!

Applications are now open for Summer Rec N Crew Counselors! Counselors help create amazing memories for kids through games, activities, and unforgettable experiences – all while building leadership skills and making new friends.

The program invites high school and college students to spend summer outside, staying active, and gaining valuable experience working with kids of all ages. Interested counselors are invited to fill out an employment application. Find the application here.

2026 Election Voter Information!

The secure Vote-By-Mail Ballot Drop-Box located outside the Montgomery Municipal Center is now open for the 2026 Primary Election scheduled for June 2. The last day to register to vote is May 12. New Jersey voters can apply for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot online here. The deadline to mail an application to receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot is 7 days prior to the election or submitted to the County Clerk’s Office in-person by 3 p.m. the day before Election Day.

Please note, the flag drop off is closed while voting occurs. Those looking to drop off flags can contact the Township Clerk’s Office at 908-533-9190.

The Montgomery Planning Board will meet on April 27 to begin discussing the redevelopment of 23 Orchard Road. The Township Committee will hold the Public Hearing and Adoption of the 2026 Municipal Budget on May 14. We encourage all residents to review the budget presentation. Residents are welcome to email CFO Michael Pitts, mpitts@montgomerynj.gov, with any questions.

Due to sewer main construction, the Montgomery Public Works Yard at 12 Harlingen Road will be temporarily closed to the public from April 20 to approximately July 20. During this time, the container facility and large containers for recycling materials will be closed. There will be no recycling blue bin pick-up. Find more information and possible alternatives for recycling or disposal on our website.
