The Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail will be back on April 26 and 27! Visit Franklin County and the 'Asparagus Valley' and enjoy the self-guided tour from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, shopping 28 nationally recognized potters at eight studio locations, while also taking in the rich cultural life, scenic drives, and culinary delights that western Massachusetts has to offer. Pottery will be available for sale in a wide range of wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with the artists about their work, techniques, and sources of inspiration. The self-guided Pottery Trail winds along scenic rivers and through the historic villages and college towns of Western Massachusetts.

This spring in Western Mass, The Springfield Museums presents Van Gogh for All! Designed to engage 21st-century audiences in the 19th-century art of Vincent van Gogh, this exhibition uses modern technology to introduce audiences to Van Goghās genius, his personal struggles, and his creative process. Visitors can literally step into Van Goghās artwork to discover the unusual perspective of The Bedroom, go behind the shutters of The Yellow House, or become part of one of the artistās famous landscapes. Many of the elements in the exhibition are interactive, including a 12-foot-wide, electronic version of the iconic The Starry Night.

The Plymouth Public Library will host a five-part series celebrating Plymouth in the Revolution in April and May. On April 19, 1775, American history changed. Colonial forces faced the British army at Lexington and Concord...and won. Word spread, and two regiments of Plymouth "Minute Men" rallied to the Patriot cause. For the next six years, Plymoutheans participated in America's battle for independence. Hear their stories on these Wednesdays: April 2, 9 and 30 and May 7 and 14.
