Third Annual Gala on March 8!


Join us for our third annual gala celebrating our 100th anniversary and Mabel Wagnall's friendship with Harry Houdini, presented by Options Medical Weight Loss. We thank our entertainment sponsors, Shari and David Verbance and Diley Ridge Medical Center, and our pub sponsor, Zach Bradley Insurance.


The evening will honor longtime board member and officer, Dwayne Spence and his wife, Patty. The evening will include a performance by Michael Griffin, greatest living escape artist, music by Reelin' in the Years, themed bars, heavy appetizers, and silent and live auctions. Proceeds will benefit the ongoing operations of Wagnalls, restoration projects and the library.

Centennial Coloring Contest


We are celebrating our centennial with a coloring contest for kids ages 4 to 12. There are three age groups.

Entries will be received from March 1-27 and displayed in Rager Reading Room. One page per child who will receive an owl puppet (while supplies last).


Winners will be announced 3/31-National Crayon Day and receive a Crayola 152 Ultimate Crayon Collection and a Wagnalls Memorial Coloring Book.  

Taking Care of Our Peeps


For the month of March,

we are collecting diapers to donate to Canal Winchester Human Services.


Sizes 3-6 are most needed, 

but all sizes are welcome!


Please drop off your donations in the library and we’ll deliver them on April 1! 


Wagnalls Studio Now Open!


We are delighted that our podcast studio is now ready for reservations.


The studio is available for audio recordings, video recordings, or Zoom calls during regular library hours.


To be eligible to use the studio, patrons must have a valid Wagnalls Library card, be at least 13 years old, and complete a one-hour orientation with our Tech Tutor, Hope. To make a reservation with Hope for orientation, please email.

Spring-Themed Watercolor Pencil Painting Workshop


Unleash your creativity in this fun and relaxing watercolor pencil class, led by artist, Deb Waites. Together, we’ll transform a pre-sketched 8” x 10” image into a vibrant, stunning work of art. Learn the techniques of blending, and finish your masterpiece with water and brushes.


This class is perfect for both beginners and those looking to enhance their watercolor pencil skills. All materials will be provided—just bring your imagination!

Teen Programming

February's Teen Book Club will discuss The Maze Runner by James Dashner on Saturday, March 15 from 12:30-1:30 pm near the Computer Lab. This is a mysterious survival saga that fans describe as a fusion of Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games.

Keep your kids safe online!

Join us for the Internet Safety class for parents to learn how to help your children navigate the internet safely.


Please register for this FREE class on Tuesday, March 11 or Saturday March 22 from 1-2 pm. Register at the Patron Services Desk or with our Tech Tutor, Hope.

Scholarship Applications Due

Scholarship applications will be accepted through March 15 from graduating high school seniors. This year 13 scholarships are available worth over $25,000! To learn more about each scholarship's requirements and to get application forms visit our website.

Rev'd Up for Monster Trucks?


For children ages 2-12, read and earn a free ticket to Monster Jam at the Schottenstein Center, April 4-6. Pick up a Reading Reward Card in the Children's LIbrary.

Pokémon Trade-a-palooza


Have fun building your collection on Saturday, March 15 in the Children's Library. Parents must be present! Be sure to only bring cards you want to trade.

Just for kids in 4th-6th grade. Join Miss Amy for the Middle Grade Book Club on Saturday, March 15 from 10:30-11:30 am to discuss Front Desk by Kelly Yang.
