Spring into Math
With the new season upon us, we're abloom with math education initiatives, thanks to the Mathways Grant from the Oregon Department of Education. Here at the Hub, we’ve got a fresh lineup of initiatives focused on mathematics:
-
Counted Out Screening: Together with partners from LBLESD and Corvallis School District, we were delighted to co-host a screening of the Counted Out documentary on March 20th. This fantastic film focuses on issues of math equity and democracy. Want to host your own screening? Reach out to us for details on how to bring this conversation to your community, supported by our Mathways grant.
-
AI Student Tutor, Khanmigo: Don't miss out on the opportunity to enhance student learning with Khanmigo, Khan Academy’s much-lauded AI tutor. This powerful tool remains available at no cost to districts, making personalized learning more accessible.
-
Professional Development at the MILL: Math educators, mark your calendars! Our PD sessions at the MILL offer collaborative workshops that are perfect for sharing strategies, connecting with colleagues, and discovering new ways to engage students. Expect PD credit, gift cards, tasty snacks, and giveaways.
-
Educator Lending Library: Our popular Educator Lending Library is now reopened with an enriched collection of classroom kits. These resources are designed for hands-on, minds-on learning that integrates STEAM disciplines in exciting ways.
