Spring into Organizing
Spring has sprung! It's the time of year for rebirth and rejuvenation.Time for spring cleaning. What about spring organizing? Is that on your seasonal to do list?
Spring is in the Air
When I think of the term spring cleaning, it always conjures up the image of cleaning windows. Never an eagerly anticipated task, it's no wonder the job was relegated to once a year. Today's pull out styles make window cleaning a much easier job to tackle any time of the year. Thank goodness for that.

Spring cleaning has its origins in many cultures. Some clean their homes from top to bottom in anticipation of a new year. Some sweep away any bad luck that has befallen the previous year. Many of us dive into spring cleaning invigorated by the longer days of sunlight, when we're anxious to put the dreariness of winter behind.

Cleaning projects abound at this time of year. Checklists help us make sure we don't forget the forgotten-ceiling fans, refrigerator coils and baseboards to name a few. And that's just the beginning. There's a plethora of outdoor jobs, too.

A freshly-cleaned home is a thing of beauty no matter its size. It just feels good to look out a perfectly clear window or admire the shine on the floor. What could be better?

A clean and organized home.
An Organized Cleanse
With spring cleaning in mind, take a good look around your home. Are you living with more stuff than you need? All that stuff needs to be cleaned, after all. Are you able to find what you need in mere seconds because it's where it belongs? Or are you wasting precious daylight searching for what you know you have but can't find amid the clutter?

Now is the time to spring into action. Remove from each room whatever does not belong there. This does not mean shuffling things from room to room. Decide which items deserve to claim space. Be intentional about what to keep. Display belongings that are meaningful and fit into the vision you have of your home.

With the organized cleanse complete, you can introduce some organizing tools to enhance your efforts. Here is where you can infuse style and show off your home's personality. A decorative tray corrals the loose remotes, reading material and your glasses.A covered woven basket conceals a craft project when not in use. Clear canisters lined up on pantry shelves are attractive and show you exactly what you've got (and when it's time for a refill). You get the idea.
Your home doesn't need to be magazine worthy. It does, however, need to be worthy of you. Help it along with a good spring organizing.

Happy ORGANiZiNG!
