Alternative Spring Break
ADI's Alternative Spring Break program — a partnership with SUNY Potsdam — welcomed 21 Black, Indigenous, and Other Students of Color earlier this month to Camp Dudley in Westport, NY.
Through direct service, education and reflection, students were challenged to understand their relationship with real-life social issues, while developing social awareness, active citizenship, and stewardship of the Adirondacks.

Stand up for child care
As part of the Stand Up for Child Care in the Adirondacks Coalition, ANCA is deeply concerned about the child care crisis our region is facing.
The North Country region was already considered a child care desert before the pandemic. Since early 2020, our region has lost nearly 600 regulated child care slots.
Local families and community members are requesting state funding to support a child care pipeline in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties. If you'd like to see more local child care options that are high-quality, affordable and accessible, consider signing the petition.
