Unplug and Imagine a Simpler Life
Spring is Sprung! Officially this time. In spring of 2020, the "Cottagecore Aesthetic" took off and people all over the country were trying to combat their forced isolation by romanticizing the simple life. People were not only dressing to fit the look, but also focusing on slow living, planting a garden, and reading books off of screens. The movement to embrace the aesthetic allowed people to escape the exponentially increased screen time and lack of work-life boundaries that came with the start of the pandemic.

All of that is to say that events happening in the wider world can and do impact the choices of individuals in small ways. For example, the cottagecore movement had me reading more classic literature than I had since it was a requirement in school. The aesthetic gives a great excuse to slow down the hectic life we are still leading and enjoy the small things that can bring us joy. If you would like to start romanticizing your life, here are some small activities you can do to be a little more cottagecore!
