This Week 04-17-19 at Sea Hag Marina
Vinny Nguyen-Phu doubled up on redfish with his fiance, Vanessa, while fishing in the tournament this weekend!
This customer went fishing with Richard McDavid and landed a hungry kingfish! April is usually the time they start biting!

~RECIPE OF THE WEEK~
A personal favorite recipe from our friends, Ed & Marcia Ellett! Fresh caught Spanish Mackerel. Filet, skin side down in pan with butter and capers. On side, prep lemon butter to taste with dash of tabasco, worchestershire, salt, pepper and pinch of sugar. Bake for 12-15" (depending on thickness of filet) after oven pre-heat at 375 degrees. Excellent by itself, yet, lemon butter sauce is an added plus.  After cooking, Marcia and Ed peel off the skin and clear blood line - sometimes do before cooking, yet, so easy to do after. Delicious!!

Reeling for Rescues Fishing Tournament in Memorial of Kim Smith:

Kim's son, daughter-in-law & grand-baby, Garrett, Kallee & Weslynn Smith, had a blast fishing in tournament. Weslynn was all about her daddy's redfish! Kim would have been proud.
Vanessa Allen & Vinny Nguyen-Phu took home 1st Place Redfish & 3rd Place Trout and released these fish to swim another day!
 Chase and Madi tied 3 ways with the two others below for 2nd Place Redfish in the Reeling for Rescues Fishing Tournament all having a 6.60lb redfish. Tournament coordinators, Bob & Garrett, decided to combine the money for 2nd & 3rd Place Redfish and divide it 3 ways!
Grant Wilson tied for 2nd Place Redfish with Chase Norwood & Clay Spivey!
Clay Spivey also tied for 2nd Place Redfish. Brian Mitchell, Mason Johnson & Tyler Rayborn fished with Clay Spivey and weighed-in big redfish as well!
Mike Godwin took home Most Spots on a Redfish with 23 spots! Wow!
Andy Phillips weighed-in a monster 26in trout and won 1st Place Trout!
Kristian Serena & his fishing partner, Will Rembert, had a 5.35lb trout that won 2nd Place Trout!
Reeling for Rescues was originally created and led by Kim Smith. Kim, David & Hunter were in a fatal plane accident a couple years back. Reeling for Rescues Fishing Tournament is carried on by the help of many volunteers and Kim's son, Garrett Smith. The tournament is dedicated to the memorial of Kim Smith, a caring woman who had a deep love for her son and furry friends.
