It's easy to create a mymedicare.gov account!

Benefits include:
  • You can print a copy of your Medicare card.
  • You can order a new Medicare card.
  • You can make your Medicare premium payments online securely.
  • You can set up EZ pay so your Medicare premiums come out automatically.
  • You can view your claims immediately after they are processed.
  • Review your personal health records, prescription drugs, and preventive services.
  • Find information on your Medicare costs, eligibility, and enrollment.
  • Create an "on the go" report of your medical history/status and take to your doctors appointments.
  • Use of the Blue Button which allows you to quickly and securely download your health information, including your Part A, Part B, and Part D claims.

HOW TO CREATE A MYMEDICARE.GOV ACCOUNT

  • Go to medicare.gov
  • Go to right hand top corner and click on mymedicare.gov login
  • When you see login in - hit create an account now.
  • Fill out the form.
  • If you don't have an email address just skip this step.
  • Follow the directions and be sure to save your password in a secure place!

CURIOUS ABOUT GETTING THE "GIVEBACK"
OR A FLEXCARD?
WONDER WHAT THIS ZIP CODE THING IS ABOUT?
Please remember we are contracted with all of the Medicare Advantage plans and we have your best interest in mind. These call Centers do NOT!! They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to switch plans!

  • In order to get a "Giveback" you will need to change your Medicare Insurance plan. It is an Advantage plan. The insurance company is offering to pay a part of your Part B premium. This is what the give back is. Currently your Part B premium is $170.10 per month for 2022(for most people). It is taken out of your Social Security check. If you aren't collecting Social Security you must pay this to Medicare directly. Be VERY careful of these plans! Many have MUCH Higher copays and may not have a large network of doctors.

  • Flex cards are the same thing! You must change your Medicare Advantage plan. You may end up with higher copays and less benefits. The network of doctors may be limited.

  • Zip Code is just a gimmick to get you to call! Different areas of the Country have different plans. Maybe some zip codes in the US have plans with givebacks, flex cards, etc. By saying check your zip code they are just trying to get you to call!

  • Lastly- Be very careful of these ads. Watch for "you may qualify" or something similar in small print. The key word are "YOU MAY" NOT "YOU WILL"....And remember we can help you with any of these applications so call us first!

Tennessee Fun Facts!
A Tennessee lake was created by an Earthquake! Between 1811 and 1812 a series of violent earthquakes on the New Madrid fault occurred, creating Reelfoot Lake in Tiptonville, TN. The Lake has 12,500 acres of water and 17,500 of land with an abundance of crappie, bluegill, catfish, bass, wildlife, birds and beautiful scenery. The Lake’s unique atmosphere is truly one of Tennessee’s most valuable hidden treasures. Reelfoot Lake is located in the Northwest corner of Tennessee and three miles from the Mississippi River.

NEW SCAM ALERT!!
WELCOME CALL SCAM

Scammers are calling and saying they are with your insurance company and telling you they are the "Welcome Call" and they are not! Although insurance companies do give welcome calls, others are taking advantage and lying to you. Do NOT give your personal information (Birthday, Social Security #, Medicare #, etc) out under ANY circumstance!

OFFICIAL LOOKING MAIL SCAM

Sales materials are being mailed that look like they are officially from Social Security. There is a logo that is very similar to the Social Security logo. There is threatening language about penalties etc if you do not "ACT" immediately. These are sales agents, and again they are just trying to get you to call or respond via email. Look very carefully at the logos and also know that Social Security or Medicare will not send threatening letters like that.

If in doubt if it's legit or a scam always check with us!

Nothing is that URGENT. If someone calls you and you aren't sure- just tell them you don't do anything without checking with your agent first. Ask them for their name, phone number, and department. Call us -verify they are legit and then you can call them back!
