Bare-Root Trees Available
Despite all of the uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, we've just received word that this year's batch of bare-root trees are on their way to Newport.

For the subsidized cost of $85, Newport residents may request a tree to be delivered and planted by the City of Newport. Trees may be planted on the public roadside or on private property within 20′ of a public right-of-way.

Tree Walks Coming Soon
In keeping with directives from State and Federal officials, we've unfortunately had to cancel our in-person Newport Arboretum Week events.

However, we've taken this opportunity to re-double our efforts in updating several of our Newport Tree Walks in order to provide our cooped up neighbors an opportunity to get outside and enjoy the coming spring weather safely.
Spring Waits for No One
With Rogers High School closed, our Tree Team was quick to find an alternative growing space and have been busily grafting a number of Newport Heritage Trees.

Just this week, Kristyn and Nick grafted over 100 scions to rootst ock including Hornbeam, Beech, Horsechestnut, Sweetgum, Tulip, Camperdown elm, as well as Turkey, Damio & Mongolian oak.

We'll be closely monitoring these new Heritage Trees over the coming weeks and hope to be moving them into the Treehouse as soon as possible.
