Perry Police Hosts Crisis Intervention Training
The Perry Police Department was proud to host the Georgia Crisis Intervention Team Training instructed by the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in February.
Perry Fire & Emergency Services Recognized With Life Saving Award
Mayor and Council recognized members of the City of Perry Fire & Emergency Services with the Life Saving award for their response to a gunshot wound victim in January.

Perry Police Department officers apprehended the suspect shortly after the incident.
Mossy Creek Natural Announces Expansion
Mossy Creek Natural announced the business is expanding to a second studio at Ball Street Crossing as a makerspace to keep the 915 Carroll Street store stocked with locally-made products.

Mossy Creek Natural is a minority-owned bath and body business in Downtown Perry. In 2020, sales grew 33% and space limitations in the retail building caused difficulty in keeping products on the shelves.
Park Spotlight: Heritage Oaks Park
Heritage Oaks Park is a 20-acre park named for the beautiful and historic oak trees that adorn the grounds. Guests will find solitude in the chirping birds and lush greenery tucked away off Sam Nunn Boulevard and Highway 341.

Ms. Wharton is responsible for developing planning studies, proposals, and reports as it relates to community development in Perry.
New Community Planner Hired!
We are excited to welcome our new Community Planner, Holly Wharton, to the City of Perry team!

She attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where she majored in economics with a minor in business administration.

Before coming to Perry, she worked as a Government Services Specialist at the Middle Georgia Regional Commission where she assisted local governments in Middle Georgia with planning, grant writing and administration, and other public administration projects.
