Spring has arrived at White Oak! The trees are turning green... and then yellow from the pollen. The pollinators or pollinating. Baby antelope are being born. Birds are laying eggs, and the weather is warming up.
It's been a busy spring here at White Oak. There have already been several calves born in our antelope herds: bongo (left), slender-horned gazelle, lesser kudu, roan (below) ... need we go on?
Our Mississippi sandhill cranes, wattled cranes, grasshopper sparrows, curassows, and cassowary are all sitting on eggs, many that will be hatching soon.
