Needle Notes
Spring has Sprung - Seasonal Idioms

When I began thinking about this spring edition of Needle Notes, a whole bunch of idioms started popping into my mind. You know, those sayings that are words strung together that don't necessarily
have meaning unto themselves. Such as:

She has a spring in her step
Hope springs eternal
No spring chicken
Spring fever
Spring forward, fall back
Spring into action
Spring has Sprung

What are some of your favorites?!!

It seems the Spring has Sprung idiom is exceedingly pertinent now. We have had a few snows the last couple weeks, AND things have started to bloom. Take a look at these photos - ©️JGavinBruce -
and you'll know exactly what I mean. For those of you who are here in the northeast this will look all too familiar. And for those of you who are further afield, this is what a pretty typical April in Vermont looks like!

Acupuncture Point of the Season

This point is used to calm the spirit, clears heat from the system. It is helpful for reducing redness of the eyes, anger, headaches, disturbed sleep, hypertension. For women, this point is often used to address abnormal uterine bleeding and excessive menstruation.
The Biggest Little Farm

This is our current favorite film and it is the perfect representation of spring's hopeful energy and time of rebirth, renewal and possibility. The link below is to a short 10 minute trailer. Take a look, or skip right over to the movie. You can see it on Hulu or Amazon Prime. We can almost guarantee, you won't be sorry!
