From the Archives: The Baths of the Queen, March 2019
The baths of the Queen are artificial constructions integrated into the rocky environment of the Calpe coast. It has a romantic legend that says that they were used by an ancient Moorish queen to bathe in the sea without being disturbed by the waves. Currently it is known that the origin of the Baños de la Reina is much more plausible, these pools located in the rocks by the Romans 2,000 years ago, were salting fish farms and space to make the exclusive garum sauce.
