Tree Recommendations for Wet Areas
Here are a few recommendations for tree planting if you are in a wet area.
Native Red Maple-great red fall color, with a pyramidal habit.
River Birch-grows along streams and rivers and is fast growing. Excellent bark interest that looks like it flakes. Constantly leaves small leaf debris, so plant away from any structures, as all of this can be tracked into a building.
Hornbeam-this tree does well in urban environments and has proven to be tough in many different soil conditions.
Sweet Bay Magnolia-reaches 30'-40' in height sporting green oval leaves with a silver underside. This tree will continue to flower throughout the summer and gives off a sweet fragrance.
Just remember to leave enough room, so the tree can grow successfully.
