HE IS RISEN
LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR - JONATHAN NEWCOMB
We'd like to start off by telling you we appreciate your interest in Safe Harbor of Bucksnort and taking the time to read this newsletter gives us the opportunity to inform you of events and advances at this location. A lot has changed over the last few months with renovations and upgrades going on.

Safe Harbor of Bucksnort is in the process of making our building safer with a state of the art fire alarm and sprinkler system. A large portion of the cabling for this system has been ran and we are expecting the installation of our sprinklers to follow shortly. Further more, additional smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and soon to be fire pull stations have been installed throughout.

From a property perspective, God continues to bless us. During the most recent flooding that a large portion of Middle TN experienced a section of our fencing was damaged and we experienced some flooding in our chapel. We thank God that his hand was upon us and kept us safe. We had no injury or lasting damage from that experience and will rebuild stronger. We recently had to say goodbye to James Staffan, our previous Director who lead with understanding and ingenuity. Often having some of the most elaborate graduations and events we've seen at Bucksnort, he will be missed. His aptitude for our Reliable Back to Work program has seen him transfer to our JC facility out of necessity for a new Coordinator to cover our largest Faithworks and Reliable network company wide! Congrats James!

During the upcoming season, we are expecting and believing for a windfall of blessings in the forms of upgrades and possible property acquisition. Believe with us as we move forward with our upgrades and continuous efforts in improving Safe Harbor Bucksnort for the betterment of the men in our care. We thank you for being a supporter and would love to hear from you. May God bless and protect your household in these times.
SAFE HARBOR OF TIPTON COUNTY COMING SOON!
Safe Harbor of Tipton County is set to open June 1, 2021. Our new facility is located on a 20 acre campus, which was built in 1905 as Dunlap Orphanage. One of the founders of the orphanage said that they wanted to build a place to see little hands discover what God has for them. We are proud to continue that vision as an orphanage, the only difference is the hands are bigger!

We will be able to house 74 men in our Safe Harbor of Tipton County Program and 16 women in our Fresh Start Program at the new property in Brighton, TN. This campus will also house our Administrative Offices. We are so excited to be able to expand to this beautiful location and continue the work of Safe Harbor that was started over 25 years ago.

We want to continue to shine the Light of Jesus into the darkness of this world to see these now bigger hands discover the freedom and life God has for them! God’s ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. It’s overwhelming to think back to every step He ordered for this moment. We give Him glory, Amen!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT - TROY BEASLEY, MICHAEL MCKISSACK, & JOSH SMITH
The three men standing in this photo are the super stars of Bucksnort and have each gone above and beyond for the men of Safe Harbor. Starting from left to right we have Mr. Troy Beasley who has been with the ministry since 3-30-2020 and has been an invaluable asset to the program and to the lives of the men. His dedication and work ethic has led us to an excellent start to the year and we look forward to seeing great things from him in the future.

Mr. McKissack started with us on 7/20/20 and from day one he has been a key staff member. His dedication to the recovery of these men shows in his classes and his ability to council the clients as they work through the program. He's had a "can do" attitude and continues to be a rock of consistency with which we can build and improve. Thank you Mr. McKissack!

Mr. Smith is often quiet and reserved but don't let that fool you, he has a heart for the Lord and a willingness to press on when others would give up. His determination led him to be one of the first clients to graduate Bucksnort. He started as a staff member on 8/21/2019 and has been a rising star here at Bucksnort ever since. There is no doubt with his work ethic and desire to consistently improve himself, he will go far within the Safe Harbor organization.

PARTNER OF THE QUARTER - MID-TN LUMBER
Mid-TN has been a God send for Safe Harbor of Bucksnort. They provide a safe work environment and the men who work there state the employees of Mid-TN are supportive and positive. The office staff at Safe Harbor appreciate the timely manner, in which documentation is received and the open communication which allows us to best serve the clients in the program.

We are currently working 10 men at an average of 48 hours a week. This is huge, helping the clients of Safe Harbor not only be productive and support in their recovery but also granting an opportunity to those who might otherwise be unable. Michelle Alexander and the rest of the staff truly care about the men and they truly have a passion for helping these men.

We are a grateful beyond measure for Mid-TN and are excited to say they are our Partner of the Quarter. Through open communication, a positive work environment, and opportunities for our men they have set themselves above the norm. Thank you, Mid-TN for all you do and we are excited to see where our partnership goes in the future!
CLIENT OF THE QUARTER - RAZVAN SINCA
"Greetings my name is Razvan Sinca and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. Through a series of bad decisions I found myself sitting in jail with a grim outlook of my future and no hope of ever changing, but I discovered that when you’re at your lowest is when you’re most likely to change so I did what any humbled man would do in such a situation. I dove into my Bible and started talking to God, praying and meditating daily asking for hope, strength, a new beginning and God was faithful!! So through a series of miraculous circumstances I was blessed with an opportunity to come to Safe Harbor. I’ll never forget the day that I received my acceptance letter through Chris Somerville. I was so relieved and overjoyed. God bless that man, he has done so much for me and many others. I’ve grown so much throughout my stay here. The classes and environment that Safe Harbor provides has really helped me grow spiritually, mentally and emotionally. I have a new vision and positive outlook on life. #PrimedAndReadyForSuccess"
