News and Updates For You
Welcome to the monthly e-newsletter for NHTI alumni and community supporters. We want to keep you up-to-date on our academic programs, upcoming events, and let you know how you can support and stay in touch with us. Thank you for being part of NHTI - Concord's Community College.
NHTI Welcome Message
With Spring feeling like it might finally be here, unless another snowstorm pops up, there is a sense of hope running throughout the NHTI community. Part of this is hope due to the fact that graduation is just around the corner.

Graduation will look a bit different this year but we are going to go high-tech with an in-person and live-streamed event. Both the 2020 and 2021 graduates are invited to attend and you can watch the live-streamed event too. More information is available here.

For so many of you, NHTI was a solid stepping stone to help you on your way to greatness. Now, as our current NHTI students look to graduate and start journeys of their own, we’d love to get our alumni involved in supporting the newest class of NHTI alumni!

Please share with us pictures of your NHTI diploma for us to share on our social media pages! This can be a grouping of your multiple diplomas from varied institutions, your diploma sitting on your desk in a place of honor, or even a creative shot of your diploma next to a location or items that represent your current work. Please email these to me and you will likely see them appear on our social media pages leading up to graduation.

Please help us give our new alumni the same sense of hope, achievement, and success that you have inspired us all with since your time at NHTI!

Alumni Spotlight
Steven Kidder, General Studies 2015
I graduated high school in 2008 with dreams of going to college but without the wherewithal of where to start and without grades that would get me in the door. The reason I had no idea where to start was because neither of my parents had even attended college. In addition to that there wasn’t financial support even if I were to get in. So I started working minimum wage service jobs. I was stuck in that limbo for five years.

Summer Lynx Program

This is a new innovative program to provide the necessary academic and wrap-around support services for historically underrepresented students that have struggled in basic math and English courses at NHTI.  We want to help build-up the confidence of these students taking these gateway courses so they believe that they belong in college and that we are here to support them on their academic pathway.

We hope to be able to offer as many financial, academic, and social services as we can during this 5-week program (July 6-August 6) to a cohort of students we know have not had equal access to educational opportunities and financial resources. If you would like to help financially support this Program to help support these students, you can do that here.

You can find more information on this Program here, including how to register to attend.
