Library eNews | April 2026

Spring is the perfect season to blossom into environmental stewardship with your library's hands-on, sustainability-themed activities! Planning your spring garden? Visit our Seed Library on the main floor for planting information as you dream of a bountiful harvest. Speaking of seeds, our All-Abilities Club will craft Do-it-Yourself Seed Bombs. Our April Kids Craft will be colorful suncatchers.

The library will join dozens of exhibitors at the annual Boyle County Earth Day Festival in Constitution Square. The festival will feature environmental information along with live music and food vendors. While you're there, stop by the bookmobile to make a craft, then visit the Story Center at Grayson's Tavern for our Quilting in Kentucky exhibit.

BCPL is also hosting the Literacy Bell Celebration of Reading where children who have read their first book independently have the honor of ringing the meetinghouse bell at Constitution Square. We love celebrating kids as they grow into readers!

Spring is a time of renewal, but the library is here for you in all seasons. These events are just a sampling of the fun we'll be having this month! Download the calendar for all the details.
