Supposedly “spring” arrived on the 20^th of March – I’m not sure where it arrived because it sure doesn’t feel like it here. We have dealt with some extreme cold this year and looking ahead I am happy that the daytime temperatures are above freezing, and we don’t have single digit nights for at least a week. We are busy seeding all of our vegetables, growing our annual flowers, perennial flowers and the gorgeous hanging baskets that you will find here in a little over a month! Each day brings us closer to outdoor planting season! See you soon!

Eyelash Fern

A small tropical fern producing very pretty, palm-like fronds. Needs warm temperatures and high humidity to flourish. Prefers bright, filtered sunlight and is an excellent houseplant.

Pepper Peach Habanero

Peppers are peach-colored when mature. Fruits have a nice fruity flavor and are nice and compact making them ideal for container plantings and patio gardens.

We are currently accepting applications for the following seasonal (April through mid-June) positions. These jobs are perfect for those that just want to work for a couple of months, young retirees, someone looking for flexible hours, etc. Here’s what we look for in garden center staff:

·        A smiling face and helpful attitude is a MUST!

·        Gardening experience desirable, but we will train the right person.

·        Retail experience is helpful.

·        Weekend availability required.
