The West Baton Rouge Museum and the West Baton Rouge Parish Library are partnering once again to host Eggstavaganza, an old-fashioned spring celebration on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Museum. This FREE and open to the public event will be held on Sunday, March 28 from 2:00-4:00PM.

Enjoy safe and socially distanced Easter themed activities on six tree-shaded acres surrounded by picturesque historical buildings.

Craving Crawfish?!

We crave crawfish all year long, so when we hear the first hints of crawfish coming out of the bayous and ponds for the season, we are ready to dig in! We have started the list of spots to pick up boiled and sacks of live crawfish for your own neighborhood affairs, so check out the Crawfish page and let us know your updates for live and boiled crawfish on the Westside!

High-flying Fun!

Plan now to compete or attend the Red Stick Classic RC Scale Contest. The AMA-sanctioned, NASA-Qualifier event will take place at Kissner Field in Erwinville. Practice flights begin Apr. 8 with various events Apr. 9 & 10. There is camping nearby and plenty of hotel accommodations, so come stay the weekend for some high-flying fun on the Westside!

C'mon Get Happy!

Bring your blankets, folding chairs, and libations, and join the West Baton Rouge Museum for Historical Happy Hour on Fri., Mar. 19, from 6:30PM- 8:00PM.

It will be a musical affair, with guest Marty Christian on the back lawn near the Juke Joint. Mr. Christian will be singing from the side porch, giving everyone plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the music. The event is FREE and open to the public.
