BGCWPA Attends US Senator Bob Casey’s
Press Conference!

US Senator Bob Casey's press conference described his Five Freedoms for America’s Children Plan. Senator Casey’s plan includes: Freedom to learn, Freedom from hunger, Freedom to be safe from harm, Freedom to be healthy, and Freedom to be economically secure.
Significant federal spending increases from the 7% currently spent on children in this proposal.
BGCWPA was then asked to submit statistics on the importance of after school programs and our demographics so that they can add after school care to this plan!  Good luck Senator Casey,
thank you for being a
child advocate!
