“Spring is when you feel like whistling, even with a shoe full of slush.”
- Doug Larson

Dear Friends,

The hours of sunshine are increasing, and before you know it the trees will be green and flowers will be in full bloom. Although we love winter, we have to admit that it sure feels great to be able to walk outside without a hat or gloves.

We are open and excited to have visitors in this beautiful time of year! Book now for a sweet spring escape!

Our COVID-19 regulations for traveling in NH have been changed. Anyone from the US can travel without quarantining beforehand, so long as they do not currently have COVID symptoms or have come into contact with anyone who recently tested positive. Folks who traveled internationally within the last 14 days or are coming from another country (aside from Canada as long as it was an essential trip), must quarantine for 10 days prior to arrival.

We are still taking every precaution (above and beyond what is mandated) to ensure that guests, staff, and community remain safe. Please review our COVID guidelines. Although masks are not required in public spaces, masks may be required by private businesses and local cities and towns. To promote social distancing, we have limited front desk hours. Check-ins are by appointment only or by using our easy self check-in.
maple syrup trees
Our New Hampshire sugar maple trees make amazing maple syrup! Cool nights and warm days start the sap running. Come and explore our local sugar shacks and see just how much sap has to be boiled down to get that yummy syrup onto your pancakes.

Our Monadnock Maple and Mud Package includes samples of local maple syrup, chocolate, and certificates that can be used toward dining at local restaurants. But book now! The season (and the special) only lasts through the end of April!
Now that the snow is gone, it's time to get out your hiking boots and check out the trails near us. If you don’t mind getting your boots dirty, it is the perfect time to be among the first to see new life peeking through from the ground and the trees. Listen to the birds, stretch your legs, and breathe in the fresh spring air... Be sure to check out the buds at Rhododendron State Park or the amazing views at Miller State Park. Ask us ahead of time, as you may need reservations for parking in some NH State Parks.
April 22 is Earth Day! Everyone can do their part to help take care of our planet by recycling, cleaning up plastic, or planting pollinator-friendly plants. Here at Jack Daniels Inn, we have taken many steps to strengthen our green conscience (and have been awarded Gold Status in the New Hampshire Green Hospitality Program). You will notice that our rooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers to cut down on single-use plastic bottles. There are also solar powered lights on our fences to light the parking lot at night, and biodegradable utensils for guests in lieu of plastic.

We are taking steps to curb our carbon footprint while providing our guests with the amenities they love and enjoy - including sourcing from local farms whenever possible.
