DC Trip Parent Information Class of 2028

We will host a parent refresher meeting on Tuesday, September 26th @ 7:00 p.m. in the SJHS commons to go over information regarding the upcoming trip on October 24-27. Parents will have the opportunity to ask new questions and be refreshed on old information that was presented last spring.

****** Student Fees and Registration Gateway must be completed for students to be able to attend the trip!

Please use the link below to access the DC Trip information, also posted on the building website: Washington DC Trip Class of 2028

Parents can call Classic Student Tours at 937-439-0032 for additional questions regarding payment options and details. General questions regarding the trip can be directed to our trip sponsor, Mrs. Hogue at [email protected]

Students Not Attending

For students who are not attending D.C., a Google Classroom has been created for student and parent information. Please use this as a means to stay up to date on information, costs, and permission slips. Mrs. Jordan sent out invites last week to students, but please email her, here, at sjordan@springboro if a parent would like added.

Fall Fest @ SJHS

We invite you all to join us for our first Fall Fest hosted by the elective teachers at SJHS! We will have this event on Saturday, Oct. 7th from 2-5pm in the junior high lawn/parking lot. There will be food trucks, lawn games, student performances, art work, a photo booth, pumpkin painting, and more. We are asking for a cash donation for entry.

We hope to see you there!

Homework Help

Homework help will be starting the week of September 11, 2023. Homework help is for any student who would like additional support on homework assignments throughout the year. It will run every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:25-3:25 in room 148 (Mrs. Jordan's room). Students will need to be picked up out front following the 3:25 dismissal.

It is also important that students only attend if they have work to be completed. In the event that homework help needs to be canceled, we will announce it on the announcements for all students to hear.

Drop off & Pick Up

Please see the map below for student drop off and pick up. We kindly ask that you follow the green arrows and not cut through the lot as we have staff and students walk through the parking lot and this can present a safety issue.

***We also ask that you do not drive around the left side of cars still dropping students off. This can create a safety concern.

In the morning, it is also important to drop off students once you arrive at the sidewalk and not wait to get all the way to the front door. This will allow more kids to begin coming in and significantly speed up the drop off line. Thank you in advance for your attention to this!

Back-to-School: Registration Gateway

The Back-to-School Registration Gateway has been updated for the 2023-2024 school year annual forms collection, and is now open to the public. This offers parents the opportunity each year to review the information that the school has on file for your student(s), and to electronically sign all the required annual forms. If you are already registered, you do not need to re-register. This is simply to review the information we currently have on file and then sign this school year’s annual forms.
Please make note of the following when logging into Registration Gateway -
1. The Family Review functionality has been activated. Parents/Guardians will login by youngest child to update ALL students in the family.

Parents will login to Registration Gateway with their youngest child's information:

Username - Youngest Student ID
Password - Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY)*
*8-Digit Birthdate, No Dashes/Slashes/Spaces, Only Numbers

Current Student Registration: www.springboro.org/ReturningStudents.aspx

NOTE - Not Completing This Online Verification May Keep Your Student From Attending Any Field Trips During the School Year

The District requires this information to be completed by September 29, 2023. Address changes cannot be updated in the Current Student Registration Gateway. If you have an address change, please contact your student’s building secretary.

We want to provide ample time to everyone to complete the necessary student registration information. If you have any questions regarding this online process, please contact the Registration Office at 937-748-6003.

Additional information about Registration and how to get started can be found on our website - www.springboro.org/RegistrationStudents.aspx
