Dear Gretchen,

Good morning and welcome to another busy week of activities throughout the Coachella Valley. Week One of Coachella Music Festival is nearly in the rear view mirror and has brought many first time visitors to the Valley, where they are a true economic driver to the regional economy.

The DVBA is actively involved with a number of our Coachella Valley cities as they begin their annual budgetary process, which in also includes review of their fee schedules. Currently the cities of Cathedral City & Palm Springs are in the process of moving forward towards the adoption of new fee levels, and the DVBA has been there for every step of the process to ensure that all levels of compliance and accountability are reviewed & finalized.

Additionally, the DVBA recently participated with the City of Palm Springs to garner input on how the electronic filing/intake system for applicants is working (or not) since the City moved towards electronic filings in 2024. We have also been engaged with the City of Indio on their review/updates to their Sub-Division Ordinance, as well as other cities various ordinances and codes updates.

If you'd like more information about these listed items, or have an area or issue where you'd like to learn more, please contact the DVBA office at 760-776-7001.

Sincerely,

Gretchen Gutierrez
