Hello Friend of Samaritan,
Its time to blossom with hope! As spring quickly approaches, let us be reminded of how transformative this season can be. Grey skies turn blue, branches on trees spread green, and flowers start to bloom a rainbow of colors reflecting God’s promise to the world. This spring, we have a lot of exciting things happening at Samaritan to help us come together to uplift and support our hungry and homeless neighbors in Winston-Salem. Whether you prepare your bikes for Tour de Llama, help us always be prepared with a matching gift, or lend a helping hand as a volunteer, your contribution will help provide food, shelter, and hope to those in need.

Marching with Hope
As we march forward with hope, let us be reminded of the many opportunities to bring light to someone’s life. We must continue to lead with passion, serve with a purpose, and provide hope through love. Here are some amazing reflections from our wonderful guests, volunteers, and staff about what it means to them to walk with hope.

When I came to Samaritan, I was looking for somewhere to be and these people put hope in me. It’s a slow process but I am changing. I have hope for the future now. With that said, man, everything is great! – Tony, Project Cornerstone Guest

Hope is Jesus calling us to serve. It’s my Christian belief to reflect and show the love of Jesus by helping to take care of those in need. Mikayla, Soup Kitchen Volunteer

One of the greatest blessings about being a part of the Samaritan family is being able to witness the hopeful journeys. I get to say good morning to the men who are looking and receiving jobs. I get to see our hungry neighbors in the community receive a warm meal mid-day. Hope is knowing that the people I serve will have better days and that Samaritan is a big part of that. – Shirelle, Samaritan Staff Member
