BBI's Mission Center

Exciting progress is underway as we embark on building a home base and mission center for BBI. Ground has been leveled, and efforts are in full swing to establish essential infrastructure like the septic tank, electrical, and water. This facility will serve as a place for families, youth groups, churches, and many others to comfortably stay as they serve on short and long term mission trips. Our goal is to have the center operational by the summer of 2025, but to achieve this vision, we need your support. Please join us in fervent prayer, asking God to guide us every step of the way. Additionally, consider making a one-time or recurring donation to our building project. Other creative ways to consider contributing include legacy donations or fundraising efforts.

Allow us to introduce Madi and Benjamin, who recently journeyed to Mexico to participate in a weeklong, family-friendly mission trip. With a goal of raising $10,000 for the BBI build project, they used various methods such as bake sales, selling handmade crafts, word-of-mouth, and more to fundraise. Through their dedication, they not only met but exceeded their goal, raising over $10,000—a true testament to the power of faith and collective effort. As we witness these remarkable contributions and the unfolding of our mission center project, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways in which God continues to bless us. For those who have or are giving to this project, thank you for your unwavering support and partnership in this endeavor. Together, let us eagerly anticipate the blessings yet to come.

Urgent Help Needed for

Comedor Genesis!

Comedor Genesis is a soup kitchen in El Zorrillo, Mexico dedicated to providing food for families living in poverty. In this spiritually dark community, Comedor Genesis shines as a beacon of hope, offering meals to up to 150 men, women, and children six times a week.

Historically, Comedor Genesis faced difficulties obtaining essential foods like beans and rice. Mayela, the founder, worked tirelessly reaching out through Facebook and local churches for support. Obtaining the food necessary to feed these people physically and spiritually was challenging. Prior to 2023, the gospel was typically only shared on holidays.

Since Blessing Bags International stepped in to partner with Comedor Genesis, God has changed everything for His glory and the good of these people! We now provide food to Comedor Genesis every month, ensuring over 20,000 hot meals were served last year. Local pastors now share the gospel weekly, leading to transformative experiences in many lives. The comedor has become a place filled with hope. In addition to providing hot meals, we distribute dispensas (Blessing Bags with essential food items) for families to take home, along with Bibles, clothes, shoes, reading glasses, and providing for other needs on a more personal level.

Unfortunately, Blessing Bags International recently lost a major supporter who was providing $1,260 per month. These funds directly covered the food needed for Comedor Genesis. While the loss of this supporter is financially significant, we look to the Lord as our provider, knowing this need did not catch God by surprise. We know that everything ultimately belongs to the Lord, and He is the provider of all good things.

Fighting the Enemy’s Attacks:

A Call to Prayer and Fellowship

As Christians, we’ve encountered attacks from Satan throughout our journey. From serving in full-time ministry to fostering, adoption, and embracing radical decisions like Jennifer’s path as a Christian author, we’ve felt the enemy’s relentless assaults. Yet, nothing prepared us for the intensity of Satan’s attacks since committing to serve full-time in Mexico. Frankly, we were unprepared. While we understand many truths of the Bible, we never fully grasped the power of the enemy. However, amidst the trials, we hold onto the promise that God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We’re learning to better recognize our enemy and be better equipped for the spiritual battles ahead.

We invite you to lift us up in your daily prayers. Spread the word in your small groups and churches, asking others to intercede for our family and ministry. Most importantly, help each of us to avoid isolation.

In 1 Peter 5:8, we’re reminded to be vigilant, for the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Just as a lion’s strategy against a buffalo is often to isolate it in order to kill it, Satan uses the same tactic.

How can you help us fight against the enemy? No one can combat a deadly enemy alone. As you lift us up in prayer, we also ask that you reach out to encourage us with Scripture or insights the Lord places on your heart. Let us know you’re there. Consider planning a trip to serve alongside us and witness our ministry firsthand. Send letters and emails of support, and share your own needs with us. “Two are better than one, for they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10). Your partnership in prayer and fellowship strengthens us for the battles ahead.
