Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on Feb. 9 during a nearly two-month voyage from Germany to Singapore, according to a company press release. En route to its new homeport, the Disney Adventure stopped at Disney Cruise Line’s largest U.S. homeport in Port Canaveral, Florida, and became the largest passenger vessel to transit the Panama Canal, the company said. After departing Los Angeles, the ship will make a brief stop in Tokyo before arriving in its new homeport of Singapore.

TSA PreCheck is Back, Global Entry Remains Suspended
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) suspended its popular Global Entry Trusted Traveler program in February amid an ongoing partial government shutdown. The decision was made to "preserve limited funds and personnel to mitigate the national security and public safety damage" during the shutdown, according to the agency. Global Entry was officially suspended at all participating airports at 6 a.m. on February 22. When arriving in the country, the DHS said Global Entry participants who are United States citizens and permanent residents will now be directed to the lane for other arriving citizens and residents, while non-residents will be directed to visitor lanes. The DHS initially indicated its TSA PreCheck program would also be suspended, but later confirmed the program would remain operational with no changes.
Best Day to Book Lowest Airfares - It's Not Tuesdays
Travelers are always on the lookout for easy ways to save money, and a new report reveals there is one particular day of the week that is better for booking flights than others.
That day happens to be Fridays, according to new data from Expedia that was shared with Travel + Leisure. That is because the end of the week sees less business and corporate travel, the booking site noted. While Friday is the best day to book tickets, Expedia recommended actually flying on Tuesdays to unlock even more savings. In fact, domestic flights cost on average 14 percent less on Tuesdays and up to 8 percent less on Fridays, compared to Sundays.
It's worth noting, however, peak travel times like the holidays could throw the Friday booking guidance to the wind. For those times, your best bet is to book early with September and October historically shown to be the best months to book. Overall, travelers should look to book Thanksgiving flights starting about 60 days before the holiday and look to book Christmas travel starting nearly 70 days in advance.
