Special Community Event:
Wayfinding: A Courage & Renewal® Experience

With Dan Hines

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm PT, April 13th 2021
$25 Administration Fee
We are all Wayfinders...

Join us for an evening of community as we discover, learn, and grow together through practices developed by Parker J. Palmer from the Center for Courage and Renewal.

Finding our way in this difficult time and navigating our lives and vocations relies on our inner resource of courage. The traditional navigational practices of wayfinding provide insights and skills that are needed in moments of dynamic change and flux: when we are far off any known map of our lives.

Sound Meditation

With Nicole St.Michel

4 Sessions, Weekly on Wednesdays
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PT, April 7th to April 28th, 2021
Sound Healing works with the energy of sound, transmitted through high vibrational sound tools, to promote wellness in the body-mind. Many studies have proven the impact of sound vibration on matter. One particular researcher, Dr. Emoto, revealed that sound can change the molecular structure of water.

Considering that the human body is composed of at least 60% water, these research findings are quite profound. These sessions will also blend the use of visualization and affirmations to promote relaxation, wellness, and the attainment of one’s identified goals.

Tell a story with a series of tiny paintings in a patchwork design. This framework will serve as the "bones" of your work. We will explore simple patterns, geometric design, simplified landscape and look at alternative borders. This is an excellent exploration of shape, color and value which can be applied to all of your artwork. There are endless possibilities painting small shapes to create a larger work.

Reel Spirituality: Exploring Religion and Film in the Age of Pandemics

With Amir Hussain

4-sessions, Bi-weekly on Tuesdays
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm PT, May 11th to June 22nd, 2021
This series is as much about the use of film to study religion as it is about the use of religion to study film. Through different critical approaches, this program will examine how religion, as variously defined, pervades modern film, and how one may deepen one’s own spirituality through engaging in dialogue with it. Among the films to be discussed are Blinded by the Light, The Conversation, Harriet, A Serious Man, and The Social Dilemma.
