March News
Flower Mart is Back in 2022!

After a two year hiatus, Flower Mart will emerge afresh, vibrant and exciting this spring. We look forward to having you join us on the Cathedral grounds. Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th

Our Theme for Flower Mart 2022 - A Haven of Peace
For over 100 years, the 57 acres of the Cathedral Close have served as a place where people of all faiths gather for reflection, solace, comfort, and enjoyment.

As our global community continues to restore its footing, we celebrate the "haven of peace" that these beautiful and historic gardens and grounds provide to our neighbors and visitors from around the world.

We hope you will partner with us and support this 82nd Flower Mart!

Drop off your donations for the White Elephant Sale
The White Elephant Tent is Flower Mart’s unique boutique for nearly new household items or old treasures. We are having our donation drop offs on Saturdays starting March 26th from 10 am to 2 pm.

We accept dishes, glasses, stainless, china, crystal, seasonal decorations, framed artwork, linens, jewelry and other fashion accessories, decorative pillows, pans, ceramic bowls, and small appliances.

Ride our Antique Carousel at Flower Mart
Our century-old wooden carousel, now on the National Register of Historic Places, is a favorite of young and old. Lovingly restored over a 20 year period, each hand-painted animal is a work of art with special significance.

Before catching a glimpse of the carousel, Flower Mart visitors hear the music of the Wurlitzer caliola calling them to ride. Following Flower Mart 2019, the caliola and its case were moved to Baltimore for a complete overhaul. After two years in storage you can hear it's cheerful sound once again!

There's Something for everyone at Flower Mart!
At Flower Mart you can purchase spring plants for your garden, find treasures in our White Elephant Tent, children's books in our Book Tent, and shop for a wide array of merchandise at over 65 boutique booths. We feature free entertainment on both days of the festival, and we will again host the International Floral Display inside the Cathedral.

In addition to our carousel, there are children's rides and games, a wide variety of festival food and this year, a special carillon concert!
An Update on our Projects and Programs
Our Tour and Tea program remains on hold. We are not currently taking tea reservations.

Our Wednesday morning Olmsted Woods volunteers will soon be resuming their work to remove invasive plants. Please fill out our Volunteer Form if you would like to help.

In-person Garden Tours are now being held, and we have continued to connect you to the gardens by adding an online tour, an audio tour podcast, and regular blog posts on our website.

The Gardens remained open to the public throughout the pandemic, and the Guild continued its support of horticulture projects. Please consider a making a donation or becoming a member of All Hallows Guild to support our work.
