FREETEK CONSTRUCTION - 21 DIAMOND AVENUE
|
|
Freetek Construction is a residential and commercial wood framing company in Spruce Grove with over 25 yearsβ experience. Freetek started in 1998 as a home-based business and in 2004 moved to 130 Yellowhead Road in Spruce Grove. In 2021, owners Dean and Brandy Fraser purchased a lot at 21 Diamond Avenue and constructed their new $1.5 million facility that consists of a 4,000 SF shop and 1,500 SF office building.

Freetekβs clients include Alquinn Homes, Mattamy Homes, Qualico, Cantiro, and Jen-Col Construction, to name a few. They are currently finishing an elaborate 25,000 SF Saulteau First Nation Community & Cultural Centre in Moberly, BC.

Freetek operates their head office out of Spruce Grove and has a full-time crew in Ontario. They have grown to approximately 30 full-time employees, many who have been with them for 10+ years.
Freetek Construction is deeply involved in the community for three reasons: their commitment to giving back, strong, long-term business relationships, and their extensive support for youth.

π 2023 WINNER OF THE COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD π
|
|
Congratulations to Zender Ford on receiving the 2023 Community Spirit Award from the City of Spruce Grove! Presented at the Chamber's Business Awards of Distinction that took place on on October 19 at Elks Hall in Spruce Grove, this award recognizes local businesses for their outstanding community support. Codie Richard, on behalf of Zender Ford, was presented an original painting titled 'Maskwa and the Mallard' by local artist and President of the Skydancer Indigenous Cultural Centre and Gallery, Dianne Meili.

π FIRST STAGE OF CITY CENTRE CONSTRUCTION - COMPLETE π
|
|
|
The first stage of the City Centre Area Redevelopment Plan project is now substantially complete, marking a significant milestone in the revitalization of the Cityβs urban core. This stage was a streetscape revitalization project that included both the below and above ground rehabilitation of McLeod Ave from Queen St to King St and Main St from Church Rd to First Ave.

Fall construction wrap-up:
- Installation of all the grey paving stones
- The median wall was installed
- All concrete benches were poured and toppers were installed
- All the trees were planted
- Roads and some back alleys were paved
- Street lights were installed and energized

π‘ ST. MICHAEL'S FENWYCK HEIGHTS - OPENING SOON π‘
|
|
|
St. Michaelβs Health Group is happy to share that construction is complete on their newest facility in Spruce Grove, Fenwyck Heights! With a variety of amenities for residents to use including an exercise room, hair salon, activity rooms, the Bistro, library, lounges, family dining room and kitchen, they are looking forward to officially opening their doors to residents in the coming days.

Fenwyck Heights is at over 65% occupancy and the building will provide seniorsβ independent living with support services to up to 300 residents when at full capacity. They also feature spaces that can be utilized by community groups, such as a large, bright multi-purpose room, where neighbors can pop in for a coffee and muffin in the Bistro. Be on the lookout for news of their grand opening!

β CITY CENTRE STOREFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM β
|
|
As part of the City Centre revitalization, Spruce Grove's Storefront Improvement Program supports property and business owners the City Centre who want to make improvements to their storefronts. The City will provide a 50% matching grant up to $7,500 per storefront or $10,000 for a street corner where improvements are made to two facades. Check out completed projects and appy today!
