It is a great pleasure to announce that Kristin Wilder has accepted the full-time position of Education Director at the Spruill Center for the Arts.

Kristin has been a very successful and popular jewelry and metalsmithing instructor at the Center for years. She has served as the Jewelry Department Director. Even in her new role, Kristin will continue to teach a few courses.

In the past, Kristin worked part-time in the front office, so she is familiar with many registration procedures and issues and has already learned many facets of Student Manager, the Center's main management software.

Kristin has played a major role in recent years with the annual Jewelry Market, visiting-artist jewelry workshops, the Holiday Artists Market, Second-Saturday Markets, and other special events. She also was of invaluable assistance in creating dozens of new courses and workshops for Fall Quarter 2013.

The Center's staff, most instructors, and many students already know Kristin. She is well-liked and well-respected. Kristin is a wonderful, collaborative artist and leader.

Please join me in welcoming Kristin Wilder to the key position of Education Director. I'm certain that she will do an outstanding job in maintaining and growing the Spruill Center's world-class art education programming.
