Don't Let the Reality of a Busy Life Impact your Squash Lifestyle
Do you know that the average adult has only 3-5 hours of free time a day? This is meaningful leisure time away from work, familial obligations and other necessities of life.

Squash BC recognizes that a detail such as renewing a membership represents one more obligation.

But let's put this detail into perspective - this particular obligation is the one that leads to meaningful leisure - your squash lifestyle.

Squash season has begun and with the new season are membership renewals. Squash BC memberships expired on Oct 31, 2019. As many of you know, this will hamper league captains from entering your match scores. As well, your hard-won ranking will drop off the BC ranking list if you don't renew.
We encourage you to renew your membership to continue to enjoy your active squash lifestyle.

But values of a Squash BC membership do not stop there. Below please find some of the values highlights of a Squash BC membership.

Progressive Event @ Jericho Dec 1 (1-4 pm)
This mini-tournament for juniors new to the tournament squash scene where they will be introduced to proper match play, reffing, and good sportsmanship habits.
The first hour allows will include timed games and round robin (allowing kids to play everyone and coaches to 'seed' kids into groups).

The remaining time will involve competitive play based on the results of groupings, playing 2-3 matches.
The 2020 Fund was established in 2000 by Squash BC to help protect the future of squash in British Columbia. As funding from government and other sources becomes less predictable, it is important to find alternative ways to ensure a sound financial future for the sport of squash. The income accumulated through the 2020 Fund is used to promote the growth of the game through the development of junior squash. By establishing a vibrant and well-financed junior program, Squash BC will take a major step toward a successful future for the sport in this province.  To donate to the 2020 Fund, click here .

In recent years many BC Squash Coaches and Instructors have retired or made moves to other parts of the country or the world (Steve Lawton, Larry Armstrong, Chris Hanebury, Drew Henderson, just to name a few).

It is critical to have a thriving coaching community to support our great game. So Squash BC is asking you to consider helping out by becoming a Certified Squash Instructor!

The course will be conducted by Head Pro Ben Uliana at the Cedar Hill Squash Club in Victoria from Jan 10-12, 2020.

This course in combination with the applicable Multi-Sport Modules and
Coaching Evaluation will result in you being a Certified Squash Instructor or Certified Squash Assistant.
