Main Season Schedule

Saturdays 9am-12pm

The WFM is a producers-only, non-profit organization. It was established to provide a venue to sell farm-fresh, seasonal produce & specialty items to the Waxhaw area. Shopping at our market is a great way to support local agriculture, promote sustainable farming practices, and enjoy fresh and delicious food.

*Keep in mind that the types of products available at the farmers market may vary depending on the season and weather conditions*

Let's dive in and get to know your favorite vendors at the market. Yes, many vendors have been with us for years (and you know them well) others have recently joined our market family.

Spotlight on a Vendor!

Belgian Waffles on Wheels: As Belgian Americans, we are serious about waffles. Our standard waffle toppings are similar to what Belgians would chooses, and we also typically have a daily special. We serve warm waffles with a choice of toppings: plain, powdered sugar, whipped cream, Nutella, or caramel sauce. Home Belgian Liege style Waffles.

Let's talk about Squash:

Squash refers to a group of vegetables that belong to the Cucurbitaceae family, which also includes cucumbers and melons. Squash come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, and they can be classified into two main categories: summer squash and winter squash.

Summer squash, such as zucchini and yellow squash, are harvested while the fruit is still immature and the rind is tender. They have a mild, delicate flavor and are often cooked quickly, either by sautéing, grilling, or adding them to salads and stir-fries.

  • Zucchini: A popular variety with a cylindrical shape and green skin. It has a mild flavor and is versatile in cooking.
  • Yellow Squash: Similar to zucchini but with a yellow skin. It has a slightly sweeter taste and tender texture.
  • Patty Pan (Scallop Squash): These have a distinctive flattened shape resembling a small pan or saucer, available in various colors.
  • Zephyr squash is a specific type of summer squash that is a hybrid variety developed by combining yellow crookneck squash and green zucchini. It is known for its distinct appearance and flavor.
