Light the World! Summer Institute at CUA
Light the World! is a chance for high school students to learn how faith and culture interact and how to apply this to college and vocational discernment. Students spend one week in Washington, DC, visiting sites like the US Capitol, the National Gallery of Art, the Natural History Museum, and a local professional sports team, such as the Washington Nationals or the Baltimore Orioles. Students witness daily how faith and culture intermingle by first hearing from one of Catholic University of America's theology professors about the day's topic and then from each location's leaders about how the faith helped them achieve success in their field. Please see Mrs. Phenicie by April 15 for the early bird discount!

Unplanned Movie
As you may be aware, a film was released last week titled "Unplanned," the story of former Planned Parenthood director-turned-prolife activist Abby Johnson. This film brings important messages of hope, healing, forgiveness, and the widespread reality of abortion to the fore. Please see www.unplannedfilm.org for more information.

SportsLeader Virtue of the Week
One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

Our virtue theme this week is HEROIC - the strength to be willing to sacrifice yourself, your wants and needs for the good of others. A team of heroes is a team worth being on. That is a team you will remember being a part of the rest of your life. This week, set a new personal goal.
