Talking With Mrs. Tompkins
We are happy to announce that it is another Freedom Friday dress down day. Please follow the dress down day dress code which begins on page 53 of the School Handbook. The students have been alerted that no Halloween costumes are permitted for tomorrow. We continue to appreciate the support we receive from parents who diligently complete screenings each morning on their student(s).  Please note that we have added the PlusPortal link into the text message with the intention of saving you some time when reporting the screening results. Thank you to Mrs. Lisa Elsner for the suggestion!

Please remember if you plan a vacation or college visit(s) at any time during the school year which includes any of the states on the travel advisory list, your student will need to quarantine for 14 days upon his/her return. For a complete list of the states with travel restrictions, please click HERE.

We would like to welcome our new chaplain at Delone Catholic, Fr. Samuel Miller.  Fr. Miller is joining us from Lancaster and will be with us every Thursday.  He spent his first day helping with lunch duty providing him the opportunity to introduce himself to every student.  We are very blessed to have him join the Delone Catholic community.

We would like to congratulate all our fall sports teams and clubs for all of their successes this year.  We would also like to wish our football team good luck tonight as they enter the postseason against Steelton-Highspire HS.  Please tune into DCBN through the school's YouTube channel to watch the game and support the Squires!

On Sunday, Nov. 1, we will observe All Saints Day. This is a day that we celebrate all those who have entered heaven, including saints who are recognized by the Church and those who are not. Below is a prayer to share with your family.

Thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us. Bless the memories of your saints, God. May we learn how to walk wisely from their examples of faith, dedication, worship, and love. In the honor and noble victory of the martyrs.

May God Bless You,

Donna Tompkins
Interim Principal

Fall Open House - Sunday, Nov. 1
"I love Delone Catholic because of the community aspect. Everyone is friendly with one another and you walk the halls and see people you know all the time, compared to other schools where there are a lot of unfamiliar faces."
~Trenton Kopp '21

From the Spiritual Life Office
Virtue=Strength
One pillar of the SportsLeader Virtue=Strength program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

This week our virtue theme is VALOR - the strength to live with great courage in the face of
danger. Valor is necessary for everything in life! Great things only happen when we are
willing to act in the face of difficulty and adversity. Pray for the virtue of valor each day this week. Look for circumstances when valor is needed and prepare yourself for the time when you can act with courage on somebody's behalf.
All Souls Remembrance
Traditionally, the Church holds in prayer the souls of all the faithful departed on Nov. 2, All Souls Day. Here at Delone Catholic, we would like to remember all who have died from our family and friends at our November liturgies. Please submit the names of those you would like remembered, and know of our prayers for them throughout this next month.
