Talking with Mrs. Tompkins
Congratulations to the Class of 2021! In a beautiful ceremony Friday, May 21, we said our goodbyes to the Class of 2021. Each and every graduate was a shining example of what Delone Catholic High School strives to instill in its students. We will miss your smiling faces next year, but are excited to see what the future holds for each of you. Please keep in touch with us.

Today is the last day of school for underclassmen. It is not a dress down day, since we will be attending the undergraduate awards ceremony. Students will be dismissed for the summer at noon.

My sincerest and deepest gratitude to all the families in our Delone Catholic community. Your support, flexibility and understanding has been a blessing to us all as we figured out how to function as a school during a pandemic. Reflecting on the past year, there are so many things that I am thankful for... a full year of in-person learning, a strengthening of our faith with the continuation of spiritual life activities, the health and safety of our school community and a full year of athletics and most extracurricular activities. I cannot stress enough how the students, faculty and families made all of these things possible. We will never forget this year, and I will never forget the impact all of you have made on us here at Delone Catholic. As of July 1, I will return to my duties as Vice Principal and leave the school in the very capable hands of Mr. William Lippe. I have no doubt that he will be inspired by our wonderful school community.

As we begin our summer vacation, I would like to leave you with this summer blessing for families:

May we make our homes places of relaxation, joy, love, peace and safety.
May we be generous and considerate, not thinking only about ourselves,
but helping others enjoy the blessings of the summertime.
Lord God, Creator of all things, guide our steps and strengthen our hearts
during these months of summer and vacation days.
Grant us refreshment of mind and body.
May we constantly strive to make a meaningful difference
in the lives of our loved ones and in the world around us
as we enjoy the warm days of summertime.

May God Bless You,

Donna Tompkins P '06, P'10

Attention Seniors: Get Connected to Your Campus' MInistry
As part of a Catholic high school, it is our hope that graduating students have gained a greater appreciation of and involvement in their faith, which has the potential to grow and strengthen in their college years. The College Connection program aims to help senior students transition to college by putting them in touch with the Campus Ministry of the college before they begin the school year. The process is simple. Complete THIS FORM and submit it and Mrs. Phenicie will then send the information to the College Connection supervisors, who will get in touch with the college’s Campus Ministry. This program has been proven very helpful in many other dioceses around the country and we look forward to you finding help through it as well!
