Talking with Mrs. Tompkins
Dear Delone Catholic Families,

We are happy to be starting the fourth quarter of this school year and equally happy to report that we currently have no active COVID cases at the school. As always, we appreciate your continued support and diligence in screening your student(s) daily, reporting the results on the PlusPortal and continuing to observe the Pennsylvania Department of Health's and Diocese of Harrisburg's guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID.

Report cards are scheduled to be emailed to parents on Thursday, April 8. We are also in the midst of course selection for the fall for freshmen, sophomores and juniors. As a reminder, your student must meet with his or her guidance counselor to sign off on course selection, before completing the process in the portal.  If you have any questions, please refer to the Powerpoint provided earlier or reach out to your student's guidance counselor for assistance. The Finance Committee has also been working on tuition packages for next year. If you have applied for tuition assistance, please log onto the FACTS management system to verify your application is complete with all required documentation. We are planning to mail tuition assistance letters to families before the end of April.

We would like to thank Mr. John "Jack" P. Kale II '77, P'99, P'02, P'08 for his service to our school as a dedicated member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Kale joined the Board of Directors in 1998 and has held various positions on the Board, including Vice President and President. We are so grateful for his guidance, leadership and upbeat spirit that helped to propel Delone Catholic through the last two decades. We welcome Dr. Eric Hillson P '19, P '22 as the new Board President.

I would like to wish each of you a Happy Easter and pray that you are able to share some special time with family during the break. We will all return to school on Tuesday refreshed and ready for the final months of this school year. I would like to leave you with an Easter Sunday prayer, which I hope that you will join me in praying:

Risen Jesus, compel us to share the good news of your life wherever we go. May our hearts overflow with joy at your Resurrection. May our faces shine with the light of Easter. May our joy be an invitation for others to come and see the tomb lying empty. Amen.

May God Bless You,

Donna Tompkins P '06, P'10

From the Spiritual Life Office
Virtue=Strength
This week our virtue theme is PERSEVERANCE- The strength to never quit despite failures and difficulties. This is one of the most important virtues in life … to never quit. This week, pick the class or subject you are struggling the most with or do not like and try extra hard this week to do your homework well.

For Families: As we have turned the corner into the fourth quarter, many of us are experiencing the eagerness to get to summer - whether that be in the form of “Senioritis” or just the temptation to slack off a bit. During this month, all of our virtues stem from the foundation of relentlessness and dedication. This month, adopt a specific resolution together as a family and commit to seeing it through all month long.

Learn more about these saints who exemplified virtues related to sacrifice: St. Paul, St. Margaret of Cortona, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, and St. Barbara.
