As the guest writer for the week, I'd like to take the time to let you know the exciting work I've been doing on the Admissions part of my role at St. A's.
One of the first challenges I tackled in the admissions role is to develop talking points for my presentations to prospective families and students. In other words, what is it about St Aloysius School that I want to communicate? I coined the term FAITH as a springboard for these discussions. FAITH because it is central and the focus of all that we do here: our mass participation, our prayer life and our commitment to serve those in need through service opportunities. Each letter represents another component of what I feel are the most important functions of the school: Family, Academic Rigor, Integrity of our students, beloved Traditions and another Home for our students, families, faculty and staff. You will see this displayed throughout our school and on some marketing materials.
Another change to the admissions is monthly Morning Meet and Greet sessions scheduled from October through March. Prospective families now have six opportunities to visit our school, learn about our programs and see our school day in action. Morning Meet and Greets run from 9:00-11:00 am and our first one is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2nd. Mrs. Barbara Duffin, our new Director of Marketing and Advancement, has created for admissions wonderful postcards, posters, and digital advertisements. I am so pleased we are working together on these initiatives.
I also need your help by spreading the word!
The greatest advertisement is the positive voices of our parents sharing why they love SAS! Share our Facebook links, take a bunch of Morning Meet and Greet postcards to share with friends and neighbors, your child’s preschool, etc. Families can register by visiting our newly revamped Admissions page on our school website or by emailing email@example.com. Thank you in advance for your help!
Promoting our school is my favorite part of my new role – so easy due to the amazing work of our dedicated staff, our fabulous student body and the essential efforts and wonderful work of our devoted families.
Thank you for your support.
